CASS: Contemporary Art Space and Studio celebrated their grand opening this weekend. CASS is a new gallery on MacDill Avenue in South Tampa. Owners, Jake and Cassie Greatens transformed a 4,500-square foot building across the street from Michael Murphy Gallery into a sleek and spacious gallery. There’s also studio space for Jake, who is an artist.

The duo traveled all over the world, and realized there was a void of contemporary art in Tampa. “We’re a big city, we’re hip, we can push the envelope too,” Cassie Greatens says.

Currently the gallery is showcasing the work of University of Tampa professor, Chris Valle and L.A. celebrity pop artist Michael Turchin. Turchin is engaged to former ‘N Sync star and Entertainment Tonight personality, Lance Bass.

CASS Hours: Tues-Fri 9-6, Sat 11-4, Sun-Mon by appointment
