CASS Contemporary has invited 18 established artists to Paint It Forward by exhibiting their work alongside the work from the emerging talent whom they have chosen to participate in the exhibition. Some of the artists included in the exhibition include Tristan Eaton, The London Police, Low Bros., Gregory Siff, and the Buff Monster.
Tristan Eaton is one of the most prominent street artists working today. Eaton’s large-scale mural work features a meticulous, visual collage of pop imagery mixed with his unique personal style, all executed with freehand spray paint on a colossal scale. Eaton now focuses on his Fine Art and large-scale mural work full-time, which can be found in dozens of cities across the globe from Paris to Shanghai, and now Tampa. Last year, he debuted a mural to kick off the annual Bern’s Winefest. Eaton’s work can also be seen in the Museum of Modern Art’s (MoMA) permanent collection.

Known for their iconic LADS characters and precision marking The London Police have recently celebrated 10 strong years in the art world and their work has graced streets and galleries in 35 countries during this time.

The Low Bros is an artist duo, which is made up of brothers Christoph and Florin Schmidt – formerly active as graffiti writers Qbrk and Nerd. Their work most often centers around stylized animal characters with human features, and addresses graffiti, hip hop, skateboarding and other elements which influenced and shaped the artists’ youth in the 1980s and 1990s.

Artist Gregory Siff has a distinct emotionalism style that merges unique elements of abstraction, pop, and action painting. His artworks are included in Swizz Beatz’s The Dean Collection, Deitch Projects, Santa Monica Museum of Art, Siren Studios, Moscow Museum of Art and in the Google HQ Collection, to name a few. Gregory has become one of the most prolific and exciting forces in the LA contemporary art scene. Most notably, his work was included in the Museum of Modern Art PS1 exhibition Rockaway! to celebrate the post Super-storm Sandy recovery.

Buff Monster is a tireless worker, often citing heavy metal music, ice cream, Pop art, Japanese Culture and graffiti as major influences. His meticulously executed paintings have been shown in galleries around the world; one painting hangs in the Bristol City Museum as part of their permanent collection. He’s also created a variety of limited edition collectibles including vinyl and resin toys, prints, shirts, stickers and two series of his ambitious trading cards/stickers called The Melty Misfits. He’s worked with some of the most recognizable brands such as Disney, Converse, Hello Kitty, Samsung, Nike, Coca-Cola and others. He’s created work in the streets for over 15 years.
