Lara Weiler

Lara Weiler (born 1999, Luxembourg) is a Luxembourgish visual artist whose practice encompasses painting, drawing, and sculpture. Her work examines everyday objects— such as clothing, bags, and consumer goods—isolating them to create indirect portraits of their users and to explore themes of identity, consumption, and the material culture of daily life. Stylistically, her work combines references to classical still-life painting with elements of Pop Art and a precise, detail-oriented painterly approach. Weiler studied Fine Arts at the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar (University of Fine Arts Saar) in Saarbrücken, where she received her Bachelor’s degree (2019–2023) and Master’s degree (2023–2024). She is currently completing the Meisterschüler program under the guidance of Prof. Gabriele Langendorf. Her work has been presented in numerous exhibitions, including the solo exhibition Peekaboo (Valerius Gallery, Luxembourg, 2026), as well as projects with the Young Luxembourgish Artists platform. In 2024, she received the Prix Pierre Werner. Her works are included in the collections of the MNHA – Musée National d’Histoire et d’Art, the Luxembourg City History Museum, and the Luxembourg Ministry of Culture. Weiler is based in Belair, Luxembourg, where she opened her first studio in 2025.
