GLEAM features four national and international artists who, using specialized techniques and materials, explore reflective compositions in painting. By emphasizing light absorption and reflection, the exhibit reveals how each artwork shifts and changes depending on the viewer’s position and the surrounding light. As a result, viewers experience each painting differently, discovering new details and perceptions with every glance.
As many in our city face power outages and limited access to essential resources, we felt called to act, believing that in times like these, art should inspire, not obligate, while giving back to our Nashville community. As such, we will be partnering with Hands On of United Way of Greater Nashville to donate a portion of the proceeds received from GLEAM's sales directly to their Winter Storm Recovery Fund.
Donations to this fund will support current and emerging needs of Nashville and Middle Tennessee residents. The fund will provide food and supplies, and in the coming days, for cleanup and debris removal. Additionally, donations will continue to be distributed until either all needs are met or they are exhausted. Any remaining contributions will be directed to a future disaster response fund.
